James Megahan is a Board Member of North West Montana Veterans Stand Down & Food Pantry, a veteran’s service center offering a helping hand up to homeless, low-income and at risk veterans and their families. A former servicemember in the U.S. Navy, James began his volunteer service in December of 2002, joining as a Board Member in July 2003.

James continues to serve 11 years later; he is instrumental in coordinating and delivering disposal service to the pantry and all Stand Down events. He is influential in raising community awareness of the plight of our veterans and their families. As an active volunteer at the Food Pantry, he helps keep operations running smoothly.

After working for over 17 years for Evergreen Disposal, including five years as the Route Manager and Operations Manager, James has extensive experience in both recycling and waste removal along with management leadership skills that are vital to any organization. He received his education in Business and Real Estate, earning a degree in Computer Programming.

James loves taking pictures in Glacier Park, carpentry and fishing when he is not volunteering to make the lives of others a little better. His vision for the pantry is “The Pantry, a beacon of awareness of needs unmet, shall some day fulfill itself out of existence”.
