The Veterans Food Pantry
In 2010 we received a total of 229,000 pounds of nutritional food for our veterans and their direct families. Local businesses gave 33% of this total and individuals provided 67%. A total of 3,010 veteran households, representing 6,090 individuals, received 224,000 pounds of food. 1,400 children received nourishment from monthly food boxes. We provide additional holiday boxes to each qualifying family, taking into consideration of their sometimes-limited cooking facilities.
The Veterans Clothing Outlet
Through the kindness and generosity of this community, in 2010 we were able to clothe and furnish 3,600 households, representing men, women, and children of all ages. We do ask for a monetary donation to help us keep the doors open, yet we still can work with our clients on a one on one basis as per needs of the household.
