10TH ANNUAL STAND DOWN 2009
Stand Down 2009 was a great success due to community support and the many volunteers that came out to give their time! This year 1,787 Veterans attended, over 300 flu shots were administered, 142 food boxes given out, and over 1,800 volunteer hours were clocked! Veterans came from East Washington, North Idaho, Montana, and even Oregon! Surplus military clothing, supplies, flu shots, hair cuts, refreshments, and community resources such as VA services, physical and mental health providers, and referals for homeless shelters were among the services provided.
